Teddy Sears


A talented actor dedicated to his craft, Teddy Sears has built a career across numerous hit television series with roles that consistently elevate his body of work in entertainment.

Sears is now appearing in the new NBC medical drama series BRILLIANT MINDS opposite Zachary Quinto, and just appeared in season two of Netflix’s breakout series THE NIGHT AGENT.

He previously starred in Ryan Murphy’s anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORIES opposite Alicia Silverstone and Murphy’s Netflix series THE POLITICIAN opposite Bette Midler, as well as a large recurring role on NBC’s CHICAGO FIRE and on CW’s THE FLASH. Sears was series regular on the Fox series 24: LEGACY, the Showtime Golden Globe nominated drama series MASTERS OF SEX, and the Steven Bochco legal drama RAISING THE BAR.

Further credits include FX's acclaimed series AMERICAN HORROR STORY (also opposite Quinto) and AMERICAN CRIME STORY: IMPEACHMENT in recurring roles, and numerous guest starring roles on AMC's MAD MEN, HBO's BIG LOVE, NBC's long running crime drama LAW & ORDER: SVU, and the award-winning comedy series UGLY BETTY (among many others).

His TV movies include A WALTON’S THANKSGIVING opposite Bellamy Young, CHRISTMAS IN EVERGREEN opposite Ashley Williams, and THE CLIENT LIST opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Recent voice work includes the DC Comics animated feature JUSTICE LEAGUE: WARWORLD and THE DISCO BALL written by Kyle Killen.

On the big screen, Sears was seen in the film NINE LIVES directed by Barry Sonnenfeld starring Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Garner and Christopher Walken, as well as the Blumhouse thriller CURVE opposite Julianne Hough. And in 2009 Sears appeared alongside Colin Firth and Julianne Moore in the Tom Ford-directed film A SINGLE MAN.

Originally from Chevy Chase, Maryland, Sears graduated from the University of Virginia in 1999. Following college, Sears moved to New York where he began his acting career, studying under acclaimed coach William Esper.
